- More about Kitsap County Auditor Nominations -

LETTER FROM CARL OLSON TO ALL KITSAP COUNTY PCOs

Kitsap County Democratic Central Committee
PO Box 27
Silverdale, WA 98383

March 4, 2008

Dear PCO,

As you must be aware, Karen Flynn, our County Auditor will be retiring from her long held position effective March 31. In accordance with state law, that places you in a unique position of responsibility as we move to recommend 3 qualified individuals to the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners from which they will appoint a replacement. The candidates who have applied are Walt Washington, Deborah Broughton, Sara Lingafelter and Christopher Tibbs. The KCDCC Executive Board is currently reviewing these applications in order to determine that basic qualifications are met and those applicants will be moved forward for your final consideration. We shall meet in Special Caucus on Monday, March 17 at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Events Center for the express purpose of transacting this most important business. Please find enclosed information relative to this decision that awaits you. In addition please note the earlier start time and also be aware that no potluck will be provided. Coffee, other beverages and dessert will be available. I look forward to your participation in this critical process.

Sincerely,
Carl A. Olson
