This week, the BIAW, Olympia's most
powerful special interest lobbyists, launched another blitz of radio attacks
against our governor to boost our Republican opponent.
As KING5 reported, the ads are paid for by Olympia's most powerful special
interest lobbying group, and our Republican opponent “thanked the
BIAW for supporting his campaign, in a speech at their annual convention
just last week.
These attack ads smack of Karl Rove and George Bush's style of politics,
and offer more proof that we can't trust our Republican opponent with
our future.
We need your help today to fight back these attacks. Washingtonians deserve better than the dirty politics of George Bush Republicans.
It's only June, but these special interest lobbyists
have already spent $500,000 on false, misleading attack ads.
These attack ads distort Gov. Gregoire's strong record against fighting
crime and keeping our communities safe.

Here's the truth:
- Washington's crime rate is the lowest it's been in
14 years
- Gov. Gregoire has been endorsed by EVERY major police and law enforcement organization in Washington
- Gov. Gregoire increased sentences for sex offenders, required DNA submissions for sex crimes and added 4,000 prison beds - the largest expansion of prisons in our state's history
It's clear that our Republican opponent
and his friends will say and do anything to bring the failed policies
of the Bush Administration to our state.
